SOLD —Witch's Scribe Altar Set

You will receive:

• Inkwell Set—Vintage—Focke & Metzler Hammersley & Co Bone China inkwell, tray and dip pen, white with green dragons. Made In England. Absolutely gorgeous set. It has seen use and damage over the years. The dip pen has been broken and repaired. The inkwell has two repaired cracks along the bottom (one with minor chips missing). The tray has a chip on one side. (See photos for details of all these.) No flaws on the removable ink cup. Unstained and still 100% usable. Inkwell is 2" tall by 3.75" in diameter. Dip pen is 8" long with nib. Tray is 6.75" in diameter.

• Wand & Desk Set—Antique—Antique dip pen converted into a wand with a faceted, polished clear quartz crystal. Comes with matching letter opener and bookmark. All are wooden, hand-carved Swiss Black Forrest edelweiss-style with Maori design influences, roughly 7.875" long. Delicate and beautiful design and execution. Part of a lot sold by a New Zealand family that believes the items once belonged to or were associated with Ernest Eugster, Executive Commissioner for Switzerland at the Sydney and Melbourne International Exhibitions in 1880, Commissioner of the Swiss Court at the Adelaide Exhibition in 1882, and co-founder of the Swiss Special Settlement near Pukekohe, New Zealand. The workmanship is gorgeous and graceful, and the sellers believe this dip pen was never used—it came with no nibs and sported no ink stains. The bookmark appears similarly unused, but the letter opener shows signs of use, including a chip in one of the flower. The original seller's information is available upon request. Exact date of manufacture unknown, estimating the late 1800s. Excellent condition. (NOTE: The antique pen was not destroyed during conversion. This wand was assembled using hot glue and 4mm black silk ribbon so it could be returned to original condition if desired.)

• Boxes—Handmade—Two cherry boxes with maple detail and sliding lids, (11” x 3.75” x 2.75”, 4” x 4” x 4”). One holds the writing set, the other holds smaller items like crystals and lock. Beautiful work created just for this set. New.

• Crystal & Stand—Hand-turned—This 4" tall selenite tower comes with a hand-turned cherry stand. New.

• Candle Holders—Hand-turned—Three maple candle holders created in our workshop, range from 1.75" to 2.75" tall. New.

• Bottle—Vintage—Wheaton Ink bottle, green, 2.5" tall. Dates from the 1970s. No chips or cracks, fresh cork. Excellent condition.

• Lock—Vintage—Miniature brass heart-shaped lock with tiny key, 1" tall when closed. Nice patina. Very good condition.
