Japanese Wooden Storage Box with Tie
Use, possibly Vintage—Kiri wood box, 8.75” long, 8.25” wide, 5.5” tall. Excellent craftsmanship. Flat light green rope threads through openings in the base to tie on top. I have no idea what it says (see photos), but suspect it is either a tea caddy or was used to ship/store something breakable. A portion of the lid lip is missing, but the top still stays in place well. A personal favorite and one I almost kept. No chips, scratches, or stains. Very good condition.
