Hearth Witch's Sewing Set

You will receive:

• Basket—Vintage, possibly Antique—Chinese sewing basket with coins, tassels, and light blue, pink, yellow, and green beads with blue Peking glass ring handle, 11.5" diameter, approximately 5" tall with lid. Decoration is in good condition—some coins/beads are likely missing, and tassels are extremely worn. The weaving is in very good condition. The lid fits well, though it likes to buckle if put on roughly (pops back out immediately). Dates between 1880 and 1930—see our blog on Chinese sewing baskets for more details of their history.

• Candle holders—Hand-turned—Two purple heart candle holders in spring bud design, 5" tall. Hand-turned in our shop especially for this set! Both hold 0.75" diameter candles. New.

• Seam ripper—Hand-turned—Metal seam ripper head on a hand-turned purple heart handle to match the candle holders, 3.5" long handle (4.5" overall length). Comes for cork for protection. New.

• Cauldron/yarn bowl—Handmade, Used—Handmade ceramic blue and black yarn bowl with floral texture details, 4" tall, 3.75" diameter at opening (wider in middle). Made by Cara Moczygemba in early 2010s, bottom marked "Cara Mox." Like new condition—and gorgeous work!

• Scissors—Vintage—Two pairs of scissors. (1) Clauss tailor's scissors #3786 from Freemont, OH. Chrome, 8" long. Due to years of use the enamel on the handle is quite work, however, the scissors work great. We've sharpened and tightened them, so now they cut beautifully. Good condition. (2) Gingher embroidery scissors with gold handles and feather design, 3.675" length. Comes with matching leather sheath. Some wear to gold plating on handles, but still cuts great, tight action. Good condition.

• Thimble—Vintage—Aluminum thimble with incised band decorated with silhouettes of people, pets, trees, and wagons. Adorable. Just over 0.75" tall.

• Sachet herbs—10ml vials of calendula, cornflower, pink rose, lavender, and chamomile

• Two white taper candles, 7.75" tall, 0.75" diameter

• Sewing gauge

• 4" vintage embroidery hoop

• Vintage light-blue marking pencil with mini broom top

• Four skeins embroidery floss

• Seven wooden clothespins
